The ABJ60CEQ is an exceptional sounding, no-frills acoustic bass. It sports a deep jumbo body (110 - 115 mm) ensuring that you will achieve that nice level of low end which is such a necessary attribute of a great acoustic bass sound. Importantly the body is constructed entirely of high-quality laminated timber - spruce on the top and laminated ash on the back and sides with an Okume wood neck. This ensures that the sound is not too ''''bright'''' and can be more easily controlled without the annoying concerns related to excessive feedback which can be a problem with solid wood acoustic bass guitars.

It has a built-in Fishman Presys II pre-amp and tuner that makes this bass not only great for live performance but also for recording
